British Paralympian, Rachel Morris MBE, joins Row Britannia

We are delighted that British Paralympian, Rachel Morris MBE, has joined Row Britannia.

Rachel has won Paralympic gold medals in both cycling and rowing.

She took a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Paralympic Games in Beijing as a hand cyclist and a bronze medal in the road race at the London Summer Paralympic Games in 2012 when she crossed the finish line holding hands, in order to tie for third place and share the bronze medal, with Karen Darke.

Rachel transferred to rowing in 2013 and won an outstanding gold medal in the PR1 (arms and shoulders only) women's single scull boat at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

In 2018, Rachel turned her attention to skiing, first trying a sit ski in March and then taking up cross-country skiing in November. Rachel made her debut at the World Para Nordic Skiing Championships in 2019 in Prince George, British Columbia.

We are thrilled that Rachel will be visiting The University of Surrey, in support of Row Britannia, on 26th February 2020 between 2pm and 3.30pm.
