BRIT ART LOGO TO BE ADDED HERE
BRIT Art is an initiative to unite British Artists in a once in a lifetime celebration of Movement, Mindfulness, and Motivation, to inspire a generation through a unique BRIT Art Auction, assist in destigmatising mental health throughout the UK, and both support and improve young adult and student mental health, fitness, and wellbeing.

Fifteen years ago, Bono had the idea to stage a charity auction to raise money for RED (who he founded in 2006). In 2008, Damien Hurst signed on to RED and his aspiration for the auction became huge. He came up with a brilliant theme that all of the works in the auction would be inspired by the color red, with a concept of love, and committed to personally approach the world's leading artists. Damien appealed to all of the donating artists and only wanted first-rate works. He also understood that if you don't give yourself, you will get nothing in return. And so he led by example, contributing seven incredible art works to the auction himself. The event was an incredible success and raised $42 million for the fight against AIDS, setting 17 artist records along the way.

With a theme of "24" in 2024, our vision is to raise vital funds for young adult mental health throughout the UK. All the works of art in the auction would be inspired by Movement, Mindfulness, and Motivation. Our aspiration is to secure 24 first-rate works of art from 24 iconic British Artists and to set a target of raising £24 million (or £2.4million is we need to manage expectations).
It is our intention to bring together 12 of the most celebrated British Artists as a collaborative BRIT Art Family to commit to this initiative and help to approach, and mentor, 12 up and coming British Artists, and share the reason for their involvement, and the creation of the art work, with art students and institutions of their choice.

The Aims of BRIT Art
The aims of BRIT are to;
1.
Secure the support from 12 of the most celebrated inspirational British Artists and invite them to donate a work of art to be auctioned in order to raise the vital funds required to enable BRIT to continue to support and improve young adult mental health and fitness throughout the UK by making the annual inclusive BRIT Challenge a legacy event.
2.
Provide an opportunity to showcase 12 up and coming artists who could work closely with 12 established artists and for their works of art to be included in the Auction.
3.
Encourage students studying art at universities and colleges to celebrate inclusivity through a 24 hour/24 day Challenge (in 2024) and for each university/college to put forward one work of art that will be displayed and judged by the 24 artists supporting BRIT Art.
